The Concept - SWSbiz

There is no doubt that SWS members have found the parties beneficial to their business lives and we were regularly asked to share our SWS database.

Consequentially, SWS has now branched out to utilise this valuable commodity and has created an additional concept named SWSBiz which organises enjoyable and friendly events like those you’d expect from the SWS brand, except, SWSBiz events are predominantly a platform for networking and business, shifting the emphasis [slightly] from SWS' social roots.

SWSbiz is now a successful quarterly event in Wales where business people from all over Wales and the World can for once socialise in a cool, unforced, relaxed atmosphere and meet like-minded business people to discuss anything from possible deals to the effects of the latest interest rate rise. The format remains flexible with some SWSBiz events being solely networking orientated whilst other events in the SWSBiz calendar feature an element of networking after an inspirational business speaker for example. Some SWSBiz events planned for the future include:

SWSbiz dinners
SWSbiz awards
SWSbiz speakers
SWSbiz break-out groups - sector / discipline specific

With SWS and Mr Producer's excellent contacts in the world of celebrity, it would not be unusual to recognise a businessman such as Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen for example. SWSbiz and SWS are run by and remain the property or Mr Producer Ltd and as such benefit from the favourable relationships that Mr Producer has built up.

Just as SWS has worked alongside all other Welsh's societies, SWSbiz works with existing business clubs. There is room for us all. Our unique selling point is that we have the capability and experience of making a business event entertaining!

With his own Company Mr Producer, Stifyn's aim was to change the face of corporate entertaining and through contracts for the Welsh Development Agency, Wales Tourist Board and BAFTA to name a few

As SWS was started as an "ex-pat" organisation, SWSbiz also recognises the importance of Wales to businesses here and abroad and encourage the increasing number of professionals from the other side of the Severn who choose Wales for work and play. We can play a key role in making connections between Welsh businesses here and abroad.

Membership is available for individuals or for corporate groups at reduced rate. For this, members receive to SWSbiz events and also information from other members through an email service available on the website. Members are able to advertise their own services and products through discounted access to this service, which enables targeted marketing and also on discounted advertising space.

Since the official launch of SWSbiz in July 2005, the track record speaks for itself:

Soft Launch – November 2004 -St David's Hotel & Spa, Cardiff

35 guests attended

Official Launch – July 2005 – Park Plaza Hotel, Cardiff

75 guests attended

October 2005 – S A Brain, Cardiff

90 guests attended with a waiting list of 20!

Christmas 2005 - St David's Hotel & Spa, Cardiff

120 guests attended.
